It's been a while since we have written on this page.
A lot happened in the meantime..
All Felicia her puppies have left to their new families.
When we see them, we see a lot of Felicia her nice sides. And also her looks.
Felicia got the Bloodtracking and Dragging Test WSH.

We have met them all since they left here..
Unfortunately the story ended to soon for Edgy, but all the others are doing very well.

Hera in Finland got the second place on a show with the honourprice. She fetches "dirty" game and tracks birds, which she points. She already takes a lot of field and is very obedient. Sure she has a stuborn head sometimes, what we already saw in the litter.

Nimrod trains in a fetching / obedience class and does this very well. Also he has all eye for his owner and is very obedient.
He will be going on hunts this fall.

Senna did a puppy obedience class and has finished this with a certificate. She does very well in the fetching class. Later this year she and her owners will have a look at fieldwork with us..

Lana Also did a puppy obedience class and has finished this with a certificate. Together with her owners we saw that she will do great in fetching too.

Giny showed us that also she is very obedient and can fetch very well. At the end of her fetching class she got a C-certificate with 37 points and with that she was the best of her class.

Wij would like to congratulate the owners again with these amazing results.

After a long time searching for a new family member, we have chosen for a puppy from Timberdoodle Weimaraners in the USA.
The puppies are 3 weeks old now. We expect a lot of the combination Velvet / Riley and already look forward to the moment that she will walk through our door.

Felicia has given birth to 6 strong PUPPIES. 5 ladies and 1 gent.
All went very smooth, and mother and kids are fine.

24 September 2008

Today we came back from the Czech Republic, where we went with Felicia to mate her to Hunter.
Felicia and Hunter were a real couple from the moment they met.
We are very pleased that we chose Hunter to be her partner.
Hunter is all that we expected to get from the American Field lines.
He has a very friendly and happy character and always wants to work.
Now the wait is for the first signs that Felicia is expecting.

07 September 2008

Last Wednesday we went walking with Dreamtime Hunters Whisper and her owner Paulien Biesheuvel.
Next month Whisper will be mated to our Vidar.
Whisper is a very nice Weimaraner, just like Vidar always a smile and lots of attention for the boss.
We think it will be a very nice combination.

30 August 2008:

Just a few weeks training with Vidar paid off ! Vidar got his Africhtingsbrevet in Belgium today.
We haven't been training with him for a long period, so we can be very proud with this achievement.

03 & 09 August 2008:

We have been to 2 retrieving trials last weekends.
First we went to Belgium where Felicia got her Basis-Brevet.
The only part of the trial that she didn't make was the marked fetch.
The rest of the tests she showed us that she is very willing to work for us.
Some of the judges were very impressed with her speed and her swimming.
The second trial was close to our place and there she made all the tests and got rewarded with a KNJV-B with 68 points
and a hamburger to close the day.

21 June 2008:

Today we have been to a KNJV retrieving trial. It was a very sunny day and Felicia was awarded with a KNJV-C certificate
with 43 points.

06 April 2008:

Today again we have been to a workingtest organised by the huntingdogschool we train with Felicia. It was a wonderful sunny day and again we saw great work.
Felicia got first price. We won a book. She didn't like that much, because she cannot read.

24 Februar 2008:

Today we have been to a workingtest organised by the huntingdogschool we train with Felicia. On this cold but wonderfull day she showed us lovely work.
On the end of the day she was rewarded with a third place (of 17 dogs) and a dummy.
She was also the highest placed gundog.

25 September 2007:

Today we received the HD result for Gunnar. His hips are graded HD-A.

11 August 2007:

Natural fieldwork ability test WSH, Felicia and Gunnar.

Today both Felicia and Gunnar passed the test for natural ability on fieldwork.
It was very warm outside, but we have seen very nice work.

23 April 2007:

DCM echo cardiogram Felicia and Vidar.

Today we have been to the vets clinic in Wageningen with Felicia and Vidar.
They were both tested with the result : Normal.

Next year they will be tested again.

24 March 2007:

Workingtest Felicia .

Last Saturday we have done a workingtest with Felicia.
She smiled during the test and got fine results.

04 July 2006:

Hip results Nossa Nala and Lina Lotte.

Last week we have received the good news that Nala and Lotte both have excellent Hips HD-A.

25 June 2006:

Workingtest with Vidar.

Today we have done a working / retrieving test with Vidar.
There were a lot of dogs competing.

07 may 2006:

Showresults Vidar, Felicia and Gunnar.

Yesterday was a perfect sunny day at the clubmatch

Vidar got the 3th place Excellent in the workingdogs class

Gunnar got 4th place Very Good in the youth class


Felicia got Very Good in the youth class


And Sylvia got a certificate for Vidar, he is now in the workingdogs register of the club.
Congratulations Sylvia, Peter and Priscilla with these good results.!

23 september 2005:

Also in the autumn...

Today an early start again. This time the drive did go to Middelharnis. There was the fieldtrial organised by the German Wirehaired club. It was a nice day. Sun and a little wind.

After a good walk directly the first time he ended it with a bird. And of course he pointed this bird so that was his point. No Vidar could rest for the rest of the day.
This walk with the pointing was good enough for a qualification this time a Good.

We are very happy with this. So also in the autumn Vidar can find his birds.

August 26th, 2005

Felicia is home and Zuchtschau with Vidar.

In the weekend of August 13 we finally could pick up our new puppy. After a long time of thinking we have decided to take another puppy. After the bad luck with Lara her litter we will not breed further with her. So we had looked around again what we wanted for a new puppy. After meeting Karin of kennel Hot Shoot’s and talking with her about the Weimaraner and the manner of breeding we liked that a lot that we decided to take a puppy from her litter.

Her name is Hot Shoot’s Felicia, she has a German father and a Danish mother, so the bloodlines are interesting as well for us.
We think we will have a lot of fun with her in the future.
Till now she let us see that she can be a good huntingdog.

On August the 13th we also did go to the Zuchtschau in Nindorf with Vidar. This is an event organised by the German Weimaranerclub. On this event they judge the Exterior of the Weimaraner and they do a kind of personality test called the "Wesentest".
This Wesentest is 2 parts. At the first part you have to place your dog at a stick with something personal from you. Then the look if the dog still has his normal defence impulse. A stranger will walk to the dog and try to take the personal stuff.
At the second part they look if the dog has a normal behaviour not aggressive or afraid. By this test a group of people from about 12 will form a large circle around you and the dog. Then al the people starts to walk to you and the dog till the circle closes. Then you have to walk out the circle while someone else take over the dog. Then you have to call your dog and thereafter you go into the circle again with the dog next to you.

This all went very well with Vidar. So it was a great day with a great new experience again.
His results for this day are:

Vidar will be a daddy...

Today it was about 4 1/2 weeks ago that Vidar mated with Zoey. In the beginning it is always very exciting. You always have to wait and see if the bitch really will be pregnant.
Today the ultracound told us that Zoey is indeed pregnant, there were about 6 puppies to see on the Ultrasound.
We are very excited now how many puppies exactly there will be. The duedate of Zoey will be June 24th.

He did it ...

Yesterday and today, we have been to two fieldtrials.
Vidar got a 2nd place: Very Good.

These past two days were perfect but difficult in one of the most southern parts of the netherlands (Sealand), but the result is wonderfull.
Friday april the 8th in Herkingen was the first day and he wouldn't start so quick. His second run was much better and at the end, he decide to go jogging with a hare.

Saterday april the 9th in Hoofdplaat he has showed in his two runs, that he takes a lot of field, is really hunting en makes a good point.
He was one of the lucky dogs that found a pheasant in the field.

these days have been very good...

DENMARK

Today we came back fromout of Denmark where we enjoyed a few day of fieldtraining and meeting some other Weimaraners.
Karin Høy invited us to come there for some training and visit her has wel.
So of course we don't say NO to a few days of Holiday.

While the weather wasn't the best we still had a lot of fun. On the driving up we drove in the middle of the Snowstorm in Denmark.
And als the further days were very cold

Vidar had done a big improvement in that few days of training in the field.
What a few days and some help from experienced people can do.
The next page of pictures will give a little view of our great days.

8 february 2005:

HD-RESULT VIDAR!

After a long time of waiting for the results of Vidar his hips we finally got the result today.
The long time of waiting was not for nothing, his result is:

HD-A
Norbergvalue: 40 (Maximum score, Dutch Scale)

We are of course very pleased with this result.
He has the best score he can have here in Holland!!!!
