On July 19th 2005 we went to pick up our first weim puppy in the town of Decatour ,Illinois. We met both owners of River (Mr.Roger Schlachter) and Rev (Mr.Kevin Jahr) at the place, by the way experienced weimaraner breeders and hunters, and they were so kind to help us pick up our litle boy. Little is a wright word because he was the smallest from the litter but he was everywhere first, fastest and most curious guy. He had a pink ribbon so that is why we called him Asa's Hunter the pink one... After two months from that date we finally moved back home to Czech Republic. First year he was real puppy,he just wanted to play and his favourite game were butterflyes. When he was around one and a half years old we started hunting training with him. As real beginners we made lots of mistakes, but we all learned from these mistakes and I think we did quite a good job with him as you can see in his hunting trail results. But what he loves the most are the real hunts which we are attending from late September to December. His drive for searching is awesome and his steady point and work to the gun just a fairy tale....He is also a great family companion and a great friend and protector of our two little children.
